Waihuini Njoroge is a Strategy Consultant at Eden Strategy Institute. With a strong interest in the overlap between emerging digital technologies, such as blockchain, and human behaviour, she continues to explore how technological innovations shape and define the way not only people interact, but also the opportunities they create for businesses and governments to make social impact. Her final year thesis focused on how societies’ evolving conceptions of trust and their relationship with institutions have created opportunities for the use of cryptocurrencies in enhancing financial inclusion, particularly across Asian and African countries.
Waihuini also brings to Eden internship experiences from Nairobi to Singapore ranging from financial services firms such as KPMG and EY to boutique consulting firms. These internships allowed her to work on a number of projects involving public-private partnerships, feasibility studies, auditing and research.
She holds a BA (hons) degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Yale-NUS College where she served as the Founding President of the Yale-NUS Afro Society, the first student organization in Singapore that caters towards students of African descent living in the city-state.
